After an absolutely emphatic day at Wembley Stadium, Manchester United were crowned Carabao Cup winners.
The six-year trophy drought is no more, and what a set of players and staff to put an end to it. I can’t think of a unit more deserving of having this trophy to their names as a testament to the results they’ve produced, the feelings they’ve bestowed to supporters and the drastic turnaround they’ve implemented at Old Trafford.
Erik ten Hag is, of course, the orchestrator behind it all. The buzz he has created around United is something we’ve not felt in a long, long time and to have secured a trophy just six months into his tenure is outstanding.
Celebrations likely continued well into the night for the Red Devils, especially as many of them were spotted enjoying a beer in the dressing room – and rightly so!
