Manchester United fans will recieve limited-edition souvenir at Wembley final

Manchester United fans attending the Carabao Cup final on Sunday will each be given a limited-edition scarf for following the team to Wembley.

The club has decided to gift fans who are lucky enough to have a ticket for tomorrow’s final against Wembley and it’s sure to become a collectable if United are successful in their attempts to beat Newcastle to win our first piece of silverware in almost six-years.

United fans at Wembley will find their red and white scarves on their seats when they arrive ahead of the 4.30pm kick-off. With Avram Glazer expected to make an appearance at the stadium, we can expect a hostile atmosphere in the build up to the game.

Head of Fan Engagement, Rick McGagh, told club media: “Our fans have been brilliant again this season and we saw on Thursday night against Barcelona the role they play in inspiring the team and helping us get over the line in tight games.

“The manager and players really value and appreciate their support, so we wanted to take the opportunity to recognise our fans and to reward them with something special at Wembley.

“Hopefully these scarves will provide a lasting moment of another great day in our club’s history as we look to win our first trophy under Erik. We hope the 33,000 fans making the trip to Wembley, and all our supporters watching across the world, have a great day on Sunday.”

A decent token gesture from the club – but seriously, we’ll be a lot happy if and when the Glazers sell the club. That’s the message we want from the club.
