(Video) David de Gea makes magical save to deny Leicester opening goal at Old Trafford

Manchester United are back in action in the Premier League as they welcome an in-form Leicester side to Old Trafford, with Erik ten Hag’s men looking to build on the 2-2 draw at the Camp Nou earlier this week.

Newcastle’s surprising 2-0 defeat to Liverpool earlier this weekend means that United have the chance to move eight points clear of the fourth-placed Magpies.

First, they must dispatch Brendan Rodgers’ Foxes, however, and the visitors started the game by creating two stunning chances to take the lead.

The first chance came when Leicester won the ball high up the pitch and a quick one-two between Kelechi Iheanacho and Harvey Barnes put the latter through on goal, as seen below.

Barnes looked certain to score and give his side a surprise lead but a magical save from David de Gea ensured the scoreline remained the same.

Leicester created another good chance almost immediately after De Gea’s save but Iheanacho spurned that opportunity to spare United’s blushes.
