Marcus Rashford could break personal record when Leicester make Old Trafford trip

Marcus Rashford is in the form of his life and earlier this week, when his strike set Manchester United on their way towards turning the score around against Barcelona, he equalled his best-ever goalscoring tally in one season.

That goal was his 22nd of the season, as many as he managed over the entirety of the 2019/20 season. The following season, he found the net 21 times.

The 25-year-old has now scored over 20 goals in three of the last four seasons, putting any suggestion that he has been poor for years to bed.

Erik ten Hag’s men are in flying form and could pull away from the chasing pack in the Premier League this weekend while also closing the gap on second-placed Manchester City.

Newcastle’s defeat to Liverpool means that United could move eight points clear of next weekend’s Carabao Cup final opponents and Rashford has an added incentive.

One more goal means he will break his personal goalscoring record and on current form, 14 goals in his last 16 appearances to be precise, you would back him to deliver.

Leicester are also gaining momentum after winning their last three games in all competitions, including a comprehensive 4-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur last weekend.
