Rainbow Devils have deep concern over Manchester United bidders

Manchester United LGBTQ+ supporters group the Rainbow Devils have raised “deep concern” regarding some of the parties reportedly interested in buying the club.

Reports suggest bids are expected from the Middle East, America and Sir Jim Ratcliffe ahead of tonight’s 10pm deadline.

There has been strong interest from a fund linked to Qatar – where same-sex relationships are criminalised, while there is also rumoured interest from Saudi Arabia where they have similarly barbaric laws.

Some will ask what does this have to do with my football club, but Rainbow Devils will argue that are a representing an important section of Manchester United’s fanbase.

In a statement released this afternoon, Rainbow Devils Committee said:

“Rainbow Devils believe any bidder which seeks to buy Manchester United must commit to making football a sport for everyone, including LGBTQ+ supporters, players and staff. We therefore have deep concern over some of the bids that are being made. We are watching the current process closely with this in mind.”

A bid from Qatar is most likely to come from a private fund.

Interesting times ahead.

  1. The club should only be sold to someone that’s intrested in the club and want to invest genuinely and get the club back to winning trophies

  2. omg stop this LGBT everywhere… We don’t want LGBT to be involve in football as well, just play as normal as we could. I not a LGBT hater but definitely won’t support my kids to be LGBT
