Manchester United make contact with Marcus Thuram’s entourage

Manchester United are reportedly making moves to sign Marcus Thuram in the summer.

The Borussia Monchengladbach forward is out of contract at the end of the season meaning he can join a new club on a free transfer.

With Thuram potentially being available on a free transfer many are expecting multiple clubs will be taking a look at the France international.

The 25-year-old has 10 goals in 19 league games this season and looks set to be one of the most in-demand forwards of the window, particularly given he will cost next to nothing.

According to FC Inter News, Inter Milan are one of the clubs showing an interest in Thuram and the Italian club are said to be worried about United’s interest. If I were them I would be more worried about how the player doesn’t look keen to sign an extension but anyway…

The report claims that Thuram’s representatives are stalling negotiations as they wait for a lucrative offer from the Premier League, which is where every footballer wants to be right now.

Thuram has been linked with a move to United since the World Cup when he was tipped as a potential replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo.
