Two Manchester United players make Team of the Week after sensational linkup in Leeds clash

Marcus Rashford and Luke Shaw have been included in BBC Sport’s Team of the Week.

It was their sensational piece of linkup play that turned heads this week; Shaw assisted Rashford in the 80th minute of United’s away clash with Leeds to open the scoring at Elland Road.

The left-back delivered an inch-perfect cross from outside the penalty box, which was expertly headed home by Rashford. It marked his 21st goal of the season and 12th in the Premier League, again proving why he is the most in-form man across Europe right now.

The three points were sealed just five minutes later by Alejandro Garnacho, who netted a sensational finish after being substituted into the game in the second half.

United’s form and forthcoming fixtures

Sunday’s win kept the Red Devils firmly in third place, two points behind Manchester City and five points behind league leaders Arsenal.

This week, United must tackle a heavyweight European clash with Barcelona and are back to league action at the weekend, when they take on Leicester City at Old Trafford.
