(Video) Man United loanee Hannibal Mejbri scores smart free-kick vs West Brom

Manchester United loanee Hannibal Mejbri is hoping for his breakthrough in senior football as he is spending the season with Championship side Birmingham City.

The Tunisia international featured in this winter’s World Cup but is yet to make a name for himself at club level. With Erik ten Hag continuing to blood youngsters at Old Trafford, the former Monaco midfielder will fancy his chances of becoming a regular in the future.

Mejbri started Birmingham’s game against West Bromwich Albion on Friday evening and it was the United loanee who would steal all of the headlines, scoring the opening goal before assisting the second goal in a 2-0 win.

Mejbri’s goal was the product of some quick thinking as he spotted the West Brom goalkeeper’s position and curled a free-kick into the bottom corner, as seen above.

Mejbri is expected to be part of Ten Hag’s pre-season squad later this year and the Dutchman will then assess all of his players before making decisions on their futures.
