PSG president set to be consulted by Qatari group interested in Manchester United

A new report suggests the Qatari group interested in making a bid to buy Manchester United are not Qatar Sports Investments.

Manchester United are currently for sale and bids are expected to be made by interested investors this month. The Glazer family would prefer to conduct a quick sale, with the process set to speed up in the coming weeks.

According to talkSPORT, QSI will not be making a bid to buy Manchester United, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t any interest from Qatar.

The interested Qatari group is a private consortium, however, it is understood they will consult Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi will be consulted beforehand.

This is bound bring up the uncomfortable conversation about sportswashing, which is not something we want United to become part of… Amnesty International have already issued a statement to warn the Premier League about this proposal from Qatar.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe is expected to bid after hiring two Wall Street firms to help with his bid to buy his boyhood club.
