Napoli president claims Victor Osimhen is not for sale

Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis has claimed that their striker Victor Osimhen is not available for sale this summer.

Victor Osimhen has emerged as the best striker in Serie A this season, so it doesn’t come as a surprise that the Nigeria international is being linked with a move to Manchester United.

Reports suggest the 24-year-old would cost in the region of £100m, as per The Telegraph, which probably means the Glazers are backing on selling the club this year.

Speaking to BILD (via Fabrizio Romano) about the Nigerian’s future, De Laurentiis said: “I can tell you that Osimhen is not sale.

“Our players are in demand, but I don’t have to sell anyone. We don’t have any debts.”

The president of Napoli was never going to say Osimhen is for sale and we all know that every player has a price.

It goes without saying that United fans will be crying out for Erik ten Hag to sign a new striker. We can’t reply on Anthony Martial and Wout Weghorst is on loan until the end of the season.

Napoli are on course to win the Serie A title this season but they will be up against it to keep their star players in the summer. The likes of Osimhen and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia are destined for big things, not to mention Napoli defender Kim Min-jae.
