Sabitzer to start: predicted Man United line-up to face Leeds United

Manchester United are set to face Leeds United twice in five days and Erik ten Hag’s men are hoping to put a winning run together after a narrow victory over Crystal Palace at the weekend.

United looked to be cruising to their 13th straight win at Old Trafford but the controversial dismissal of Casemiro meant that the Reds endured a nervy ending to the game.

Despite a late scare from the visitors, United held on pull away from the chasing pack in the Premier League and are now preparing to face Leeds, who announced that manager Jesse Marsch had been sacked earlier on Monday.

Ten Hag will be without midfield lieutenant Casemiro for both games as the Brazil international is serving a three-match ban for his red card. With Scott McTominay and Christian Eriksen also unavailable, January signing Marcel Sabitzer is almost certain to partner Fred in the middle of the park.

Ten Hag is likely to go for his first-choice backline, with David de Gea set to guard the net. Further up the pitch, red-hot Marcus Rashford is undroppable, with Bruno Fernandes also in stunning form.

Wout Weghorst will continue to play as Anthony Martial’s injury struggles continue. Antony is Ten Hag’s preferred choice from the right-hand side but Alejandro Garnacho and Jadon Sancho are both options.

Predicted Manchester United XI (4-2-3-1): De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Varane, Martinez, Shaw; Fred, Sabitzer; Antony, Fernandes, Rashford; Weghorst
