Former Manchester United striker says Marcus Rashford has turned his career around

Marcus Rashford stresses that Manchester United are heading in the right direction following Sunday’s 3-2 defeat against Arsenal.

The in-form forward had opened the scoring for Erik ten Hag’s side with a stunning goal from distance in the first-half, but sadly it wasn’t enough as United’s unbeaten run would come to an end.

After the game, Rashford took to social media to engage with fans and insisted that United are still making good progress. He tweeted: “Never easy to lose a game like that at the last minute but we go again! We’re heading in the right direction and need to remain positive.”

One former player who is buzzing for Rashford is Teddy Sheringham.

The former Manchester United striker appeared on talkSPORT this morning and waxed lyrical over Rashford.

“He’s on fire at the moment,” Sheringham said. “He’s turned his career around, showing the form he showed as a youngster.”

I don’t think we can help but laud the quality Rashford has shown this season.

It was clear that Ralf Rangnick wasn’t a good manager for him, but Ten Hag has done everything he could to get the forward back firing. United are now seeing the benefits from that.
