Manchester United plan to send midfielder on loan to League One outfit

Charlie Savage was given a chance to impress Erik ten Hag during the pre-season tour and he was kept at the club for further development rather than sent on loan. That could soon change if Manchester United change their plans for the young midfielder.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Manchester United are expecting to send Charlie Savage out on loan before the January transfer window closes. You could see why they’ve come to that conclusion since Robbie Savage’s son has only managed one senior appearance to date and everyone is keen to see him carry on his development.

For a lot of players that happens away from United. Look at Ethan Laird, Amad Diallo and others who join leagues lower down the football tiers to gain experience. The report adds that all parties are in agreement that a loan move would be beneficial to Savage’s progress.

Meanwhile, it is understood that United would like to send Savage out on loan to a League One side.

The Welsh teenager was named on the bench for Ralf Rangnick’s final game in charge of the Reds, which was a 1-0 defeat at Crystal Palace on the final day of last season.
