Three players impress despite painful draw: Player ratings from Crystal Palace 1-1 Manchester United

Manchester United have dropped points in the Premier League for the first time since club football was resumed following this winter’s World Cup in Qatar.

Erik ten Hag’s men were on a nine-game winning streak prior to their trip to Selhurst Park but that sequence has now come to an end after a dazzling free-kick from Michael Olise rescued a point for The Eagles.

United controlled proceedings in the first half and deservedly claimed the lead but a sloppy second half culminated in an uncharacteristically poor end to the game.

Man United Player Ratings

David de Gea – 8
Made one jaw-dropping save to deny Odsonne Edouard in the first half and also kept Marc Guehi from equalising shortly after the interval. Could do nothing about the free-kick.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – 9
Nearly flawless on his return to Selhurst Park.

Raphael Varane – 7
Calm as ever, barely had anything to do all game.

Lisandro Martinez – 7
First start in the league since returning from the World Cup. Typically composed.

Luke Shaw – 9
His fine form continues.

Casemiro – 9
The only thing keeping him from earning a perfect ten is the yellow card 10 minutes from time. It might have been worth it if United won but now, they will be without him for this weekend’s trip to Arsenal.

Christian Eriksen – 6
Seventh assist of the season. Frustrated Palace with his ball retention and passing for long periods.

Antony – 5
Another frustrating performance from the Brazil international.

Bruno Fernandes – 7
In fine form at the moment and that continued against Palace.

Marcus Rashford – 6
A difficult afternoon as his goalscoring run comes to an end.

Wout Weghorst – 6
Not the start he would have wanted but an encouraging one.
