Manchester United reportedly enter advanced talks with Fulham defender

Manchester United are reportedly in ‘advanced negotiations’ with Fulham for right-back Kevin Mbabu.

That is according to TuttoMercatoWeb, which confirmed the defender could leave Craven Cottage this month for either the Red Devils or AC Monza.

The report also suggests that the 27-year-old is “close” to joining the Red Devils, which comes as a surprise as currently, there have been no reports from England to indicate this is the case.

Wan-Bissaka’s redemption

Erik ten Hag had previously made his desire to sign a right-back evident, however, this was when he was relying solely on Diogo Dalot. When the Portugal international picked up an injury at the World Cup, Ten Hag was forced to utilise the less-favoured Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who has since been faultless in every appearance he has made this season. More recently against Manchester City on Saturday, when he kept their ever-threatening attackers quiet for the majority of the match.

Signing a defender who has made just two starts and not featured for his side since November seems a rash decision from United’s side.
