Man United agree new contract with attacker, deal until 2029 plus additional year

Manchester United have reportedly reached an agreement to extend young attacker Alejandro Garnacho’s contract.

That’s according to a recent report from journalist Jacque Talbot, who claims the Argentine sensation will commit his long-term future to the Red Devils, penning a deal until 2029 with the club retaining the option to add another year.

Garnacho, 18, has enjoyed a hugely impressive breakthrough. The South American winger has been thrust into the limelight by manager Erik Ten Hag and he has not let his boss down.

Scoring an extra-time winner against Fulham just before the Premier League paused for the winter World Cup in Qatar, Garnacho picked back up right where he left off.

Providing an important assist for teammate Marcus Rashford’s winner during last weekend’s Manchester derby against rivals City, 18-year-old Garnacho, despite his age, is proving to be a real asset first-team asset.

And recognising that, as well as emerging interest from Real Madrid, United have been quick to tie the 18-year-old down on a new long-term deal.

Since making his senior debut last year, Garnacho, who wears the number 49 shirt, has gone on to feature in 17 matches, in all competitions, directly contributing to seven goals along the way.
