Fabrizio Romano believes Erik ten Hag deserves immense credit for the way he has raised the level of performance at Manchester United.

The resected journalist adds that the Manchester United players love playing under the Dutchman and, as fans, we can all see that.

“I think Erik ten Hag is doing a special job,” Romano told CaughtOffside. “He spoke face to face to many players like Rashford since day one, he changed the mentality in the dressing room.

“Players like Dalot are now on another level. He’s doing incredible, the players love working under Ten Hag.

“Of course it will take time to be at super level again but Man United are back on track thanks to the manager and clear rules.”

Football managers are loved by players more when they are getting results. Ten Hag is doing that at United and he has the current crop of players believing in themselves.

This should be the minimum demand for a United manager, but we’ve not been able to feel this optimistic in some time.
