Fabrizio Romano claims Wout Weghorst doesn’t want to miss Manchester United opportunity

Manchester United are trying to sign Wout Weghorst until the end of the season.

It is no secret that Manchester United are in need of attacking reinforcements following the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo. Erik ten Hag would be running a big risk to rely on Anthony Martial for the remainder of the current campaign.

And, even though we know Marcus Rashford can play centrally, I think most United fans can agree that he is more effective when attacking from the left.

United have been linked with a number of cut-price options, including a loan deal for Wout Weghorst.

The Netherlands international is currently on loan at Besiktas from Burnley and he has registered eight goals in the Turkish league this season, which includes a winner from the weekend.

Reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano claims tacks are ongoing between the three parties — United, Burnley and Besiktas — over a deal for the 30-year-old striker.

The 30-year-old will hope to score more goals than he managed at Burnley last season (2), but one thing he will guarantee is more intensity up front. Weghorst also gives United more aerial presence.

It will be an exciting deal if United can get it done.
