Manchester United are reportedly being targeted by Qatar Sports Investments, along with two other Premier League clubs.

The Middle East nation is on the back of holding the most expensive World Cup ever.

Paris Saint-Germain president and QSI chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi has held talks with Tottenham Hotspur, whilst the organisation have also set its sights on Liverpool and United, according to Bloomberg. If they pursue either of the Northern clubs, a full takeover or minority stake is being considered. All teams have declined to comment.

United for sale

The Red Devils were put up for sale by the Glazer family at the end of November and there has since been endless speculation regarding who will take charge of England’s most successful side.

Raine Group are handling the sale and will be looking to acquire no less than the valuation of £5 billion for the transfer of ownership.

Currently, Manchester City and Newcastle United are the only Middle Eastern-owned outfits in the top division, and the investment has boosted their success significantly.
