Manchester United have nominated three players for the December Player of the Month award.
The Red Devils played just three competitive fixtures across the month due to the prolonged international break for the World Cup, which saw one of our own, Lisandro Martinez, return to Old Trafford as a world champion.
United saw out three victories, two in the Premier League and one in the Carabao Cup, against Nottingham Forest, Burnley and Wolverhampton Wanderers. They now face a packed January schedule with five matches on the horizon.
Below are the three players up for the award:
1. Marcus Rashford

Rashford may have been the first name on the list when contemplating who to put up for the award, as the forward is in the form of his career.
Not only did he impress at the World Cup for England, but he has also picked up where he left off for United by continuing his outstanding goalscoring form by scoring in three consecutive matches.
One goal in particular impressed even neutral viewers when he completed a remarkable solo run against Burnley before hitting the back of the net.
He then went on to score and assist against Forest, before netting the winning goal of the game at the Molineux on Saturday against Wolves.
Tonight provides a chance for the 25-year-old to break a personal record; if he gets on the scoresheet against Bournemouth, he will have scored in three consecutive Premier League matches at Old Trafford for the first time.
2. Casemiro

The Brazilian is likely the best defensive midfielder in the league right now. Casemiro is absolutely everywhere on the pitch and it’s no wonder why he is such a loved figure amongst the United faithful, as he is playing the exact role fans have cried out for for several years.
He is a no-nonsense, dominant and imposing figure on the pitch who thrives on getting stuck into tackles and winning the ball in every scenario. Opponents will fear going into challenges with him because chances are, he’s coming out on top. The 30-year-old has made the team a stronger unit.
3. Luke Shaw

Shaw has proven his versatility since the return of club football. In the previous two matches, he has been played out of position and has displayed two faultless performances.
Erik ten Hag opted to utilise the left-back in a central role alongside Raphael Varane due to Lisandro Martinez being unavailable and both Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof suffering from illness.
Not only has he been outstanding in the games but his attitude when it comes to accommodating the manager’s request is admirable. Not many players would love the idea of switching to a position they’re not used to for fixtures that are so high-pressure, but he has been a prime example of a team player that will do what it takes to help the squad.
