Martin Dubravka is returning to St. James’ Park.
With Martin Dubravka returning to Newcastle United prematurely, Manchester United fans have been reacting to the news and sharing their verdicts on the goalkeeper’s short spell at Old Trafford.
The Slovakian made just two appearances for Erik ten Hag’s side, both of which came in the Carabao Cup, and he failed to keep a clean sheet in either match. Dubravka was rather shaky in his most recent outing, too, punching air in attempt to clear the ball from a Burnley corner kick.
Dubravka recalled by Newcastle today.
His best moment in a Manchester United jersey

Newcastle triggered the option to recall Dubravka from his loan spell in January and that is exactly what they’ve done.
Decision to recall Dubravka understood to be Newcastle's. Utd still have Tom Heaton and Nathan Bishop, and have not decided whether to sign another keeper yet. #mufc

Below we have listed an array of different reactions to Dubravka’s time at United.
Martin Dubravka on his way back to Newcastle from #MUFC. It was frighteningly clear from his limited minutes during matches he doesn't have the tools to be David de Gea's back up. He's not better than Tom Heaton. United will likely explore 6-month loan options to add GK depth. pic.twitter.com/5LmCRF0c1i

So we got Dúbravka on loan, he tried his best to throw games for us and then Newcastle recalled him just 3 months later.
That was pointless.— Alexei (@MUFC_redarmy99) January 1, 2023
Dubravka recalled by Newcastle, thank god , guy is brutal

A loan that has been a waste of time for us, Newcastle and Dubravka himself so it makes sense to end it. Bloke barely played and didn’t impress when he did.
He’s good enough to be a starter somewhere else and isn’t displacing Nick Pope so maybe Newcastle will sell him… https://t.co/TcNEZnZXAV

Dubravka signing had to be money laundering or he had ten Hag’s nudes.
Most pointless loan deal of all time.
