Marcus Rashford made Manchester United fans forget about Cody Gakpo on Tuesday night.
After coming through a difficult period in his career, Rashford has been a man in fine form all season.
The academy graduate is undroppable on his current form, with 10 goals to his name and Erik ten Hag is demanded at least 10 more from his forward this season.
Rashford scored United’s opening goal against Nottingham Forest on 19 minutes and then assisted Anthony Martial for the second goal just minutes later.
The first goal showed that Erik ten Hag’s work on the training ground is paying off.
Christian Eriksen sent a low pass to Rashford from a corner kick and the forward darted as his teammates blocked off the Forest defenders. Rashford diverted his effort first time past Wayne Hennessy.
