Marcus Rashford was recently challenged to score 20 Premier League goals this season and he responded the best way by opening the scoring for Manchester United in tonight’s game against Nottingham Forest.

The goal was his fifth in the Premier League and 10th of the season – but he still has some way to go before reaching Erik ten Hag’s personal milestone.

Fresh from scoring three goals at the World Cup, Rashford scored a stunning goal after a solo run against Burnley in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night. He followed it up with another goal against Forest thanks to a well worked corner kick.

Tonight’s goal meant Rashford has scored in each of his last five outings at Old Trafford – a run that has existed since the Europa League meeting against Sheriff Tiraspol in October – as per ESPN FC.

Ten Hag will hope Rashford gets on the scoresheet again on Saturday when United travel to Wolves. A win is crucial if we are to continue our push for a top four finish.

United are currently one point adrift of fourth with a game in-hand.
