(Video) Marcus Rashford scores incredible solo goal to give Man United 2-0 lead vs Burnley

Manchester United have one foot in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup as they have now doubled their lead against Vincent Kompany’s Burnley in the fourth round.

Erik ten Hag named five of his returning World Cup players in the starting line-up and it was Christian Eriksen, who exited the Qatar tournament at the group stage, who gave the Reds a first-half lead.

The visitors dominated proceedings just after half-time but Marcus Rashford eased United’s worries by scoring an incredible solo goal in front of the Stretford End, as seen below.

The 25-year-old picked the ball up inside his own half before driving at the Burnley defence, feinting left and right before eventually unleashing an unstoppable strike into the far corner.

Ten Hag has now been handed the luxury to rest his players ahead of the resumption of Premier League football next week.
