Marcus Rashford hits back at false reports over future

Manchester United star Marcus Rashford has reacted to news that he is set to become the highest-earning player at the club following the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Harry Pratt at the Daily Star wrote a piece on Sunday stating that Marcus Rashford would become United’s higher earner as long as he commits his long-term future to the club.

As things stand, United have an option to extend Rashford’s current deal by a further year. It will expire in June and there is no chance whatsoever that Erik ten Hag will allow the forward to leave on a free next summer.

Why would Rashford want to leave when the manager has already made it clear he is part of his plans?

The report also indicates that Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are stepping up their interest in Rashford, which I really don’t think will put any pressure on United.

After being recited by Manchester United aggregator account @mufcMPB (via Twitter), Rashford replied asking for the press to stop making up stories about his future.

Rashford tweeted: “Can we please stop making up these stories? Mines and the clubs objectives are to hopefully get into the champions league this season. This isn’t help. Thank you.”

Fair play to Rashford for coming out and setting the record straight.
