Manchester United’s Raphael Varane has been named in the starting 11 to face Morocco tonight.
Les Bleus are hoping to go back-to-back as world champions for the first time since Brazil did it in 1962.
Varane has been paired with Liverpool’s Ibrahima Konate at centre-back, with Jules Kounde and Theo Hernandez alongside them. The ever-threatening Kylian Mbappe starts, though it was Olivier Giroud who helped see out the win against England to progress to this stage – and he leads the line again.

They are major favourites heading into this evening’s clash. Their opponents, Morocco, just became the first African nation to reach the semi-finals of the World Cup and will do everything in their power to take it even further.
Morocco have not yet conceded a goal from an opposition player, a streak that France’s devastating attack will be keen to end tonight.
Two Reds could meet in World Cup final
The winner will face Argentina in the final, meaning Varane may come up against fellow Red Lisandro Martinez. The two have become well acquainted since the Argentinian’s arrival in the summer.
Out of the 14 United players that jetted off to Qatar, they are the final two remaining.
