Man United linked with Moroccan World Cup hero Sofyan Amrabat

Morocco are the surprise package of this winter’s World Cup and the African giants are 90 minutes away from sealing a place in the final of this storied tournament.

On their run to the semi-final, they have beaten Belgium, Portugal and Spain. In their way of reaching the final are France, the reigning champions.

Sofyan Amrabat, the Fiorentina star, has been one of the tournament’s best players and his form for Morocco has led to a flurry of links to big European clubs.

The latest of those clubs is Manchester United, who are reportedly keen on the 26-year-old following his exploits in Qatar.

That’s according to Spanish outlet Fichajes, who say that United have now joined the race to sign Amrabat after Liverpool also registered their interest. Additionally, La Liga giants Barcelona are said to be holding an interest as well.
