(Video) Lee Sharpe critical of Gareth Southgate’s decisions after England crash out

England suffered heartbreak as they were eliminated from the World Cup by defending champions France, who ran out 2-1 winners in Doha.

Former Manchester United winger Lee Sharpe gave his assessment after the match and decided to take aim at England manager Gareth Southgate.

Sharpe was critical of decisions made by Southgate against France and believes that is why England crashed out of the World Cup.

Speaking to Sky Sports News, Sharpe said Southgate should have made changes to the team earlier in the match.

  1. Southgate’s had enough goes (Euro’s, Nations, 2xWC) now and should move over for someone who can tactically and none emotionally manage England to a victory!

A manager with a winning mentality because a squad like the current England crop don’t come around that often. A manage that pick players on form!!

  2. I totally agree with Lee Sharp on his assessment on Southgate’s late substitutions.Look at a player like Grealish, he was wasting on the bench. He should have come on immediately after the first half, as he is a good carrier of the ball who should have created a lot problems in the France defense. But he only came on in the 98th minute.
