Manchester United considering move for Leverkusen winger

Manchester United are interested in Bayer Leverkusen winger Moussa Diaby.

According to Fichajes, the Red Devils may pursue Diaby in January to bolster their attacking options.

The 23-year-old has netted eight goals and contributed four assists in all competitions this season. He enjoyed a prolific campaign in 2021/2022, scoring 17 and assisting 14. Diaby was unfortunate to not receive a call-up for the France World Cup squad.

The departure of Cristiano Ronaldo has forced Erik ten Hag to act in January and bring in reinforcements, as United currently have only two first-team striker options. His exit will save the club around £16 million in unpaid wages.

United are also struggling for goals this season; in the Premier League they are 11th-placed in terms of goals scored with 20, whilst the leaders Manchester City have double that. Securing a young, talented and proven attacker will only further boost the Reds’ chances of success and acquiring silverware.
