Manchester United fans watching Portugal’s 3-2 win over Ghana on Thursday night were left impressed by Ajax attacker Mohammed Kudus.
The 22-year-old stood out despite being on the receiving end of what felt like an unlucky defeat, but he has also enjoyed a promising start to the season in the Netherlands. Kudus has 10 goals to his name this year.
On top of that, United need attacking reinforcements in January. At least one following Cristiano Ronaldo’s exit upon his contract termination. That leaves Erik ten Hag with two options to play as centre-backs — Marcus Rashford, who is better on the left, and an injury-prone Anthony Martial.
Following Ghana’s World Cup opener, a number of United fans took to Twitter to tweet about Kudus being worthy of United’s interest before they enter the market for a new striker.
I would love kudus at Manchester United #mufc #MUFC

Kudus is a huge talent.
I think we still have a good relationship with Ajax. #MUFC #PORGHA

No idea why Ghana subbed off Kudus when he was literally the only player keeping things ticking in the final third for Ghana.
Self-destruction.

That Kudus kid is pretty good. Too bad Ajax will never let us buy from them again 😂 #MUFC

Who do you think United should sign in January?
