Cristiano Ronaldo’s two-match ban will transfer to whichever league he moves to

Cristiano Ronaldo was given a two-match ban for the incident at Goodison Park last season.

After the Red Devils fell to a dismal 1-0 defeat against Everton in April, Ronaldo was recorded smacking a home supporter’s phone out of his hand and to the floor, consequently smashing it in the process.

He issued an apology to the Toffees fan but was charged by the FA with improper conduct. It was announced on Wednesday that the 37-year-old will be forced to pay a £50,000 fine as well as serve a ban of two games at first-team domestic level.

Ronaldo will serve ban wherever he moves

Ronaldo’s ‘imminent’ departure from United was announced yesterday, meaning the ban will transfer to whichever club or league he moves to.

His next destination has not yet been decided as the Portugal captain prioritises the World Cup.
