The Glazers release statement on Manchester United sale plans

The Glazers are exploring strategic alternatives for Manchester United, including a sale, in other to strengthen the club and hopefully say goodbye after 17-years of protests.

This is the biggest news we’ve had in those 17-years that they are finally about to get out of town.

Chants of “Love United, hate Glazers” are regularly heard at Old Trafford and news that the owners are exploring a sale will delight many United supporters, especially our readers who have been reading our anti-Glazer content for so many years.

Sky News broke the story this evening that the Glazer family were considering a sale moving forward. This news came after the club announced that they had come to a mutual agreement to terminate Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract.

The latest in this developing story comes from the Glazers themselves as they confirm their intention to welcome investment.

In a statement on the Manchester United website, Executive Co-Chairmen and Directors, Avram Glazer and Joel Glazer said: “The strength of Manchester United rests on the passion and loyalty of our global community of 1.1 billion fans and followers.

“As we seek to continue building on the Club’s history of success, the Board has authorised a thorough evaluation of strategic alternatives.

“We will evaluate all options to ensure that we best serve our fans and that Manchester United maximizes the significant growth opportunities available to the Club today and in the future.

“Throughout this process we will remain fully focused on serving the best interests of our fans, shareholders, and various stakeholders.”

The time has come for the Glazers to get out of town. It’s long overdue!
