‘Some player’ – Manchester United fans happy with Hannibal Mejbri’s World Cup debut

Manchester United fans have shared their excitement after watching Hannibal Mejbri make his World Cup debut for Tunisia against Denmark.

The youngster, who is currently on loan at Birmingham City, was named on the bench against a Christian Eriksen-inspired side for their opening match in Group D. It finished as a scoreless draw.

Hannibal replaced captain Youssef Msakni in the latter stages as Tunisia tried to see out the match and get a point on the table. They achieved that with the United starlet getting the final 15 minutes to show his worth.

The 19-year-old was forced to make a last-ditch challenge on Joakim Maehle, who appealed for a penalty after it appeared he was brought down unfairly, but the bad had already gone out of play.
