Christian Eriksen couldn’t help Denmark to a win over Tunisia in their World Cup opener this afternoon as both teams settled for a goalless draw.

It was still a moment to cherish for Eriksen because he was back playing for Denmark on the biggest stage, 18 months on from when he suffered a cardiac arrest at Euro 2020.

Manchester United loanee Hannibal Mejbri came on in the second half for Tunisia to make his first ever appearance at the World Cup.

It was one of the worst games for neutrals so far because of the lack of goals. Hopefully we won’t have many more of those in the group stages.
