(Video) Wolves star says Ronaldo’s uncertain Man United future will not affect Portugal

Cristiano Ronaldo has thrown his future at Manchester United into doubt following his controversial interview with TV presenter Piers Morgan, in which he criticised the club and manager Erik ten Hag.

Since the explosive 90-minute interview was released earlier this week, United have announced that they have initiated proceedings to best deal with the situation, with reports this week claiming that the club have told the 37-year-old to not fight their decision to sack him.

The fallout comes just days before Portugal kick off their World Cup campaign in Qatar and speaking ahead of their opening game, Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves has insisted that the uncertainty surrounding Ronaldo is not affecting the Portugal camp.

“From what I’ve been seeing in training, he is in spectacular form,” Neves told Football Daily, as seen above. “Therefore, this is not an issue that concerns us at all. We are totally aware that we have to perform as a team to get the most out of each individual, Cristiano is no different.

“If we play well, Cristiano will be phenomenal. There is no controversy inside the dressing room, this controversy exists in the media.

“We are 100% focused on our World Cup campaign, we have a spectacular environment in the national team and that is our focus.”
