Wayne Rooney scored twice as Manchester United beat Newcastle 3-1, on this day in 2004.
An opening goal from Rooney was eventually canceled out by an Alan Shearer equaliser, but Ruud van Nistelrooy scored from the spot to make it 2-1.
Then Rooney slotted home from close range to seal the three points.
The win meant United sat 11 points adrift of league leaders Chelsea.
