Garnacho spares United blushes: player ratings from Fulham 1-2 Man United

Manchester United have bounced back from last week’s defeat to Aston Villa with a classic last-minute winner at Fulham, with young winger Alejandro Garnacho once again stealing all of the headlines.

It looked like Erik ten Hag’s men were going to have to settle for a point in London but Garnacho ensured that the Reds claimed all three points as he snuck in a winner with less than 60 seconds remaining of additional time.

United will not play another game until late in December, with players now set to jet off to play in this winter’s World Cup in Qatar.

Man United Player Ratings

David de Gea – 8
Made a handful of spectacular saves to keep United in the lead. Great performance again.

Tyrell Malacia – 4
Played out of position so he gets the benefit of the doubt but it was hardly a pleasant evening for the Dutchman.

Victor Lindelof – 8
Bombarded with crosses and he dealt with them comfortably.

Lisandro Martinez – 7
Another solid performance from the Argentine. Caught out a couple of times in sprints against Daniel James but you can’t blame him for that.

Luke Shaw – 7
Fantastic delivery in the final third, could have had a couple of assists.

Casemiro – 7
Sloppy passing in the second half but is now fully settled and a crucial player for the side.

Christian Eriksen – 9
United’s best player by a mile. Scored his first goal and could have had another. Set up Alejandro Garnacho’s winner with a perfectly weighted pass – what a player.

Anthony Elanga – 5
Tough afternoon again for the young Swede.

Bruno Fernandes – 5
Back from suspension but did not have the same impact as against Aston Villa in midweek.

Marcus Rashford – 6
Confidence is flying, it’s fantastic to see. Now off to help England.

Anthony Martial – 6
It was all about gaining match fitness for the Frenchman and that game will have done him the world of good. A bit more rhythm and he would have scored one or two goals.

Substitutes
Scott McTominay – 6
Good cameo, started some promising moves.

Alejandro Garnacho – 9
Absolutely fearless whenever he plays and it’s beautiful to see. Should have won a penalty but that doesn’t matter. Picked the ball up, attacked his marker before laying it off to Eriksen and slotted it in from the return pass. What a star United have on their hands.
