Manchester United will face competition in the race for Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong.
The Red Devils had already sent their scouts to watch the youngster and they will reportedly send them again to watch Leverkusen’s forthcoming matches.
The 21-year-old, who is a product of Man City’s youth academy, has netted five goals in 12 Bundesliga matches this season. He joined the German side from Celtic in 2021, having won the Scottish Premiership, Scottish Cup and Scottish League Cup with The Hoops.
Frimpong is in outstanding form for Leverkusen and is attracting interest from clubs across Europe.
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed both United and Chelsea are two clubs actively monitoring Frimpong. He told his YouTube channel: “I’m told that Manchester United will send again their scouts in the next games to follow Jeremie Frimpong.”
He added: “Also Chelsea have sent their scouts multiple times to follow him but Man United are sending their people again to track this boy.”
United should make a move for Frimpong
Frimpong can play both in an attacking and defensive role down the right flank and would rival Diogo Dalot in the right-back position. Being able to have two young, eager and attacking players to rely on in the position would significantly bolster United’s squad.
Try and error must stop immediately.Chelsea is already a matured team and it needs a matured brain to coach this team
