Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has welcomed Cristiano Ronaldo back into the fold ahead of Thursday night’s Europa League clash against FC Sheriff.
That means Ten Hag now has an option to rest Marcus Rashford who started at the weekend.
Ronaldo is now back training with the first team after being forced to train alone since the incident that saw him axed from the squad that drew 1-1 with Chelsea on Saturday.

It is understood that Ten Hag held crucial talks with Ronaldo before he was brought back into the fold. United fans will hope that this issue can be resolved as the 37-year-old could still have a big hand to play in the upcoming games, even in his reduced role.
Updates from journalists Chris Wheeler and Rob Dawson suggest Ten Hag’s meeting with Ronaldo today went well. The Dutchman wanted an apology from the five-time Ballon d’Or winner and he is in contention to play against FC Sheriff.
