Manchester United have confirmed that Polly Bancroft has joined the club as head of women’s football, in a bid to help improve the women’s team at all levels.
Polly brings more than 10 years of experience to the table after joining United from Brighton & Hove Albion. There she held the position of women’s team general manager since October 2020.
This means Polly will get the chance to work closely with Marc Skinner, the head coach of the women’s team, as they look to qualify for the Champions League for the first time.
Manchester United currently sit top of the WSL after the opening three games of the season.
Polly Bancroft told ManUtd.com: “I am delighted to be joining Manchester United at such an important moment for the women’s team in this exciting era of women’s football.
“This is the biggest club in the country, and I am excited to contribute to the success of the club along with John Murtough and Marc Skinner to create something special in the years to come.”
We would like to wish Polly the very best in her new role at Manchester United.
