Cristiano Ronaldo has dominated the headlines all week, despite not getting on the pitch during Manchester United’s 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night.

iNews claims that Manchester United are even considering whether to release Ronaldo on a free transfer following his latest fallout.

This is likely to be a result of seeing a lack of interest in Ronaldo’s signature last summer when his agent, Jorge Mendes, made it clear that his five-time Ballon d’Or winning client wanted to leave Old Trafford.

United must be fed up with the constant drama that surrounds Ronaldo because he is referenced in most questions put to Ten Hag at press conferences.

Reporters want to know why he isn’t starting games and now they will want to know if he was fined for his actions on Wednesday night.

Ronaldo was an unused substitute against Tottenham after refusing Ten Hag’s instructions to come off the bench. Instead, he stormed down the tunnels and left Old Trafford before his team-mates could even celebrate their 2-0 win.

I don’t think there is enough interest in Ronaldo to get a transfer fee in return for his signature this January, but only time will tell. Let us know in the comments section where you think he could end up after United?
