Ten Hag demands more from Rashford in front of goal

Erik ten Hag has identified one area in which Marcus Rashford needs to improve after last night’s Europa League tie with Omonia.

On a frustrating night for United, Rashford would have felt the most aggrieved after having five shots on target with no goal contribution in return.

Despite playing with confidence and showing exceptional signs on the pitch, the Englishman was unable to find the back of the net in a tightly contested tie at Old Trafford.

The 24-year-old is on the back of winning the Premier League Player of the Month for September after picking up impressive form for the Reds.

Ten Hag still wants more from Rashford despite remarkable form

Ten Hag has identified a key area that Rashford needs to improve and has confirmed that the forward is aware of the issue, he said: “He [Rashford] did a lot of things well [vs Omonia], but finally, he knows that he has to be more clinical and he has to score a goal.

“When you have such good movements, when you have such good combinations, you have such good actions, then you have to finish.”
