(Video) Ten Hag confident in United’s attacking abilities after 1-0 win over Omonia

Erik ten Hag is confident in Manchester United’s attacking abilities on the pitch regardless of losses this season.

At Thursday night’s post-match press conference, Ten Hag said: “In every game except the game against Brentford, we scored. In this team there’s a lot of creativity and scoring capabilities. Sometimes you have the night where you don’t succeed.”

United had just overturned Omonia 1-0 after a tightly contested match saw the first goal of the game come in injury time through second-half substitute Scott McTominay.

One unfortunate player to not feature on the scoresheet was Marcus Rashford. After being awarded Premier League Player of the Month for September and hitting impressive form, the Englishman was lighting up the pitch with his confidence at Old Trafford.

The 24-year-old registered five shots on target but an exceptional performance from Omonia’s Francis Uzoho denied him each time. Cristiano Ronaldo, who is on the back of reaching 700 career goals, was also refused his 701st on the night.

Ten Hag regarded his players for their determination, adding: “I have to credit the team – they keep going. They don’t give up and they keep believing.”
