Manchester United scraped through their Europa League game against Omonia after a late, late winner from Scott McTominay gave Erik ten Hag’s men all three points.
United were dominant throughout and somehow, they did not manage to score until deep into additional time when McTominay bundled the ball past the Omonia goalkeeper.
Ten Hag’s men owned the ball for 78% of the game and that resulted in a staggering 34 shots but only the final one would find the back of the net. After the game, Ten Hag was quizzed on United’s finishing in the game and whether that could be a problem.
"You have to score goals!"

“They did and that’s why they score,” he told BT Sport when asked if keeping the faith is the only thing you can do when chances are wasted.
“So I have to make the team a compliment, keep patient, keep coming in the right positions, keep creating chances, don’t allow the opponent to come out.
“So I think they did well. Only one thing about football and you have to score and that we did too (little), I think this game has to be three or four nil.”
When further pressed on whether he’s concerned about United’s lack of clinical edge, Ten Hag insisted that it is not a problem going forward.
“No, I know how football is,” Ten Hag said. “We score already so many goals. In every game we score and I have the faith that we will continue that.
“We have scoring players so I’m not concerned about this. I hope we save the goals for next week.”
