Manchester United huffed and puffed in their Europe League game against Omonia at Old Trafford but with the clock winding down, it looked like it wasn’t going to be their night.

Erik ten Hag’s men completely dominated proceedings and they never looked in danger of conceding a goal but they couldn’t quite find the back of the net.

Marcus Rashford was United’s most inventive player on the night and even he must have lost count of how many shots he saw parried away by the resilient Omonia goalkeeper.

Eventually, United found the breakthrough as substitute Scott McTominay bundled the ball home after some neat build-up play by the Reds.
