Everton have been handed a huge managerial boost ahead of this weekend’s clash with Manchester United, with Erik ten Hag searching for a win to put them back on form following last weekend’s Manchester derby.
The Merseyside club are starting to hit form under Frank Lampard, going unbeaten in their last seven games in all competitions, which includes two straight Premier League wins.
United have won four out of their last five games in the league but the Reds have a poor record at Goodison Park, winning just one out of their last four trips.
Ahead of the game, manager Frank Lampard has revealed that Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who is yet to make an appearance this season due to injury, is in contention to feature against United.

“Yes, he’s in contention,” Lampard told the official Everton website. “We’ll have to see how match-fit he is but in terms of the injury he’s better. It’s a really good boost.
“He’s a good player for us, pivotal in us staying the league last year and want to get him playing regularly.”
Calvert-Lewin has scored two goals in 11 appearances against United, with the infamous stoppage-time equaliser at Old Trafford standing out.
Ten Hag has a couple of injury worries himself, with Raphael Varane yet to be passed fit for the game after withdrawing from the Manchester derby in the first half.
Varane’s potential absence could affect the strategy if Calvert-Lewin plays, with the Frenchman most likely to challenge the Everton star in the air.
