(Video) Antony evades two defenders with dazzling skills vs Omonia

Manchester United winger Antony has experienced a mixed start to life at the club, with the Brazilian losing two and winning three games so far since he signed on transfer deadline day.

In the Premier League, the 22-year-old has scored in both of his appearances, with his opening goal against Arsenal sealing the perfect debut for him.

Erik ten Hag was desperate to reunite with Antony at Old Trafford and it’s already clear why – he has started all five games since putting pen to paper on the contract.

Against Omonia on Thursday evening, Antony was at the heart of several good moves but will be disappointed with his end product. One moment stands out, however, when the Brazilian evaded two players and countless tackles, somehow never losing the ball before winning a free-kick, as seen below.

It’s the type of press resistance that Ten Hag has been craving on the flanks. More importantly, a left-footed winger on the right-hand side adds invaluable balance.

That can also be applied to other areas, with the arrival of Lisandro Martinez at centre-back completely revolutionising United in possession.
