Kylian Mbappe wanted PSG to sign Marcus Rashford

Lionel Messi may be at Paris Saint-Germain but Kylian Mbappe is the player with the most power in Paris. The Ligue 1 champions did all they could to keep him during the summer and a recent report stresses he asked the club’s football director, Luis Campos, to consider a move for Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford.

It has been suggested by some reports that Mbappe’s contract at PSG includes influence on boardroom decisions.

However, this is not the first time Rashford has been linked with a move to PSG.

In fact, he was initially linked with a move to Paris back when Thomas Tuchel oversaw the French side and they’ve had two different managers since then.

PSG are believed to have a four-man shortlist – requested by Mbappe – and Rashford is one of the players listed, as per RMC Sport. The other names include Robert Lewandowski, Ousmane Dembele or Gianluca Scamacca.

So far this season, Rashford has scored three goals and won the Premier League Player of the Month award for September. I hope he can keep this form up and sign a new contract before his current deal expires.

Let us know in the comments section if you think Rashford would be tempted by an offer to join PSG.
