(Video) Man Utd loanee Ethan Laird scores first senior goal for QPR

Ethan Laird has hit the ground running at Queens Park Rangers and the young defender scored his first goal for the London club on Tuesday evening.

Laird joined the club on a season-long loan after taking part in pre-season under Erik ten Hag and many feel like he could be one to keep an eye out for the future.

The 21-year-old made his senior debut for the Reds in 2019 and has enjoyed successful loan spells at MK Dons and Swansea since then.

Laird scored his first senior goal on Tuesday evening after a sweeping move against Hull City, with the opposing full-back providing a perfect cross for Laird to tap home, as seen below.

The goal, which was the second strike in a 3-1 win, came in only his fourth appearance for QPR and he’ll now look to kick on as he eyes an impressive season and hopefully, a place at United next year.

United have been looking at signing a right-back all summer, with Ten Hag yet to be convinced by Aaron Wan-Bissaka. Earlier on Wednesday, the manager confirmed that Wan-Bissaka will be staying put.

That could spell good news for Laird.
