Everton are in the race to sign PSV Eindhoven attacker Cody Gakpo.

After being named Dutch Footballer of the Year in 2022, scoring 21 goals and registering 15 assists in 47 games, Gakpo emerged as a Manchester United transfer target.

The exciting young attacker is now attracting interest from across the Premier League.

According to The Athletic, United have cooled their interest due to being close to signing Ajax winger Antony.

That said, I would suggest that we could do with signing both players if Cristiano Ronaldo leaves!

There’s also interest from Southampton and Everton. The Saints made an offer which was rejected, and Everton could see the Dutch starlet as a replacement for Richarlison.

Time is running out in the transfer window, and it doesn’t sound like Gakpo is against the idea of leaving PSV before deadline day.

Gakpo would be a great signing for all the clubs mentioned.
